On September 5th 2003 I knocked on Jeanne and Sean Caroline’s door and delivered a message that would profoundly change their lives, their son Seanne had been killed. I came into their lives as a victim’s advocate with Largo Police Department . . . to offer them support, services, and to assist them in navigating all that challenges that were ahead. Almost five years later I am honored to still be in their lives as a partner in a meaningful cause and as a friend.
Although I never have the chance to meet Seanne, I feel that I know him through his parent’s love, the love that drives them to make all of our children safer.
