| My name is Karen. I am the mother of two girls ages 15 and 9. My oldest was very close to Seanne and took the news of his death very hard. She went through so many emotions: disbelief, anger, pity, sadness and then back to anger. Why did this have to happen? Why didn't the boy who shot Seanne know better? Why didn't they all get out once they saw a gun? Why did the parent leave a loaded gun laying around where kids could get to it? Why? All questions I couldn't answer nor will I ever be able to. I became a part of this foundation in hopes to prevent this from happening to our children (maybe even your child). |
| Our children are gifts from above and must be protected at all costs from preventable accidents such as an "accidental" gun shot. We think it could never happen to our kids because we all live in our comfort zone. STOP and think again! |
